| Introduction to Reading Test of the PRAXIS II Series is required for North Carolina licensure. In lieu of the Praxis II test, a candidate may complete 24 hours in reading (the 18 hours specified above plus 6 semester hours in reading. All courses must be approved by the reading coordinator. Equivalent reading courses may be considered as course substitutions only with prior approval of the reading coordinator.
